Linklaters and Freshfields have scored significant successes in the past week with their involvement in both Vodafone’s record $66bn (£41bn) takeover of US-based AirTouch and British Aerospace’s £7.8bn acquisition of General Electric Co’s Marconi Electronics.
The two firms’ involvement in the Vodafone deal – the biggest ever takeover by a UK company -will alone bring them a share of a $91m (£57m) adviser fees bonanza.
