The Millennium Bug, for most legal IT suppliers, was a huge windfall. Mass hysteria about year 2000 (Y2K) compliance took root in boardrooms of law firms across the UK. It provided what many people thought was a necessary kick up the backside for firms reluctant to invest in technology.
