Why did you leave the Bar to move in-house?
The motivating factor behind my decision was simple – you only live once – and I wanted to try something different. I had been practising as a QC for more than 10 years and was still enjoying it, but I thought I would leave while I was ahead.
Do you have any regrets about leaving the Bar?
I have dozens of regrets. But I would make exactly the same decision again since I enjoy what I am doing now even more. The international airline business may not be a rational one, but that can add to the thrills of being in it, even in such turbulent times.
