Bird & Bird advised Expocentric on its Techmark listing. The company has raised £31.5m in an institutional placing of shares at 192p per share, and has a post-IPO value of £112.2m. Expocentric is a provider of 3-D interactive technology used by exhibition organisers. Bird & Bird corporate partners Neil Blundell, Graham Defries and Matt Dennis advised the company, along with corporate assistants Jeremy Landau and Alex Hand. The deal was brokered and sponsored by Investec Henderson Crosthwaite, represented by corporate partner Simon Allport and corporate assistant Neil Kapoor of Gouldens.

Allen & Overy advised the lead manager, Lehman Brothers International, in the structuring and execution of the securitisation of The Really Useful Theatres group, which is co-owned by Lord Lloyd-Webber and Bridgepoint Capital. The proceeds of the £84m securitisation were used to refinance acquisition debt incurred by The Really Useful Group and Bridgepoint in January, when the acquisition was completed. The Really Useful Theatres group operates 13 theatres in the West End of London, including The Theatre Royal, Drury Lane and the New London Theatre, the home of the musical Cats. Securitisation associate Christian Lambie, supervised by partner David Krischer, led the deal. Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer advised The Really Useful Theatres group. Finance partner Marcus McKenzie and finance associate Helen Jones led the team.
