Lewis Silkin acted for Integrated Dental Holdings in its acquisition of the Whitecross Dental Care group for an undisclosed sum. The group of 134 practices combines the mainly private practices of Whitecross with the predominantly NHS practices of Integrated Dental, creating the largest dental group in Europe. Lewis Silkin corporate partners Jo Evans and Philip Lamb, with property partner Adam Perry, acted for Integrated Dental and co-ordinated the nine teams of lawyers involved in the deal. Norton Rose advised HSBC Investment Bank on the recent institutional placing of new ordinary shares in the AIM-listed performing arts internet broadcaster Online Classics and on its acquisition of independent producer of arts programmes, Iambic Productions. HSBC acted as nominated broker to Online Classics, whose website targets a global market in the ‘top end’ of the performing arts sector covering opera, musicals, ballet, classical concerts and quality theatre. The placing of the 13.3m new ordinary shares raised £8m. The proceeds will be used for working capital purposes, marketing and to fund part of the £5m acquisition of Iambic Productions. The team was lead by corporate finance partner Mark Lloyd Williams, assisted by corporate finance lawyers Ian Fox and Angela Vukoje, with tax advice provided by Judith Watson.
