The Stationery Office (TSO) has drawn up the UK’s first set guidelines for e-business. In association with computer hardware manufacturer Compaq.
The TSO has launched the Code of Best Practice For E-business to help new economy companies achieve legal compliance and to manage their risks and liabilities.

Baker & McKenzie, which has a long-standing relationship with TSO, provided legal support. The code covers existing law on data protection, copyright, contracts, defamation, computer misuse, security and online trading.
