Fox Williams advised the owner managers on the sale of customer relations management consultancy Bridgewater Group to US-based Extraprise Group for £7.25m. Brobeck Hale and Dorr, led by partner Richard Eaton, advised Extraprise. Corporate partner Tina Williams headed the Fox Williams team.
Herbert Smith advised life assurance and fund management company St James’s Place Capital (SJPC) on a partial takeover by Halifax, effected by a partial tender for 60% of SJP. The offer value was £750m, which puts the value of SJPC at £1.26bn. A corporate team from Linklaters, led by partners Andrew Peck and Guy Lewin-Smith, advised Halifax. Corporate partner James Palmer headed up the Herbert Smith team.
