Hammond Suddards has commissioned leading ad agency Ogilvy & Mather (O&M) to create a common brand for the 15-strong European group of Commercial Law Affiliates (CLA), the referral network that Hammonds joined last summer.
The move, which is expected to lead to a single name for the CLA European firms, is Hammonds’ boldest attempt to create an international presence.

The appointment of O&M, which is expected to produce its report in September, has raised eyebrows because it comes so soon after Hammonds engaged Saatchi & Saatchi Rowland to bolster the firm’s City image with a £1m advertising campaign.
