The Pearson Group has ended its year-long search for a US-qualified head of legal with the appointment of a new general counsel this week.
Gary Rincke, former managing partner of the London office of US firm Morrison & Foerster, joined the media giant on Monday (3 July).

A Pearson spokesperson said Rincke will have global responsibility for all legal and company affairs. His appointment will come as a relief to the group, which has been without a head of legal since the departure of former legal director and company secretary Paul Vickers in July 1999.
