Simmons & Simmons acted for HFC Bank, the UK co-branded credit card issuer and subsidiary of Household International, in connection with its launch of Marbles; the new credit card designed both for online and conventional use. The card is also linked to Dixons’ subsidiary, Freeserve. Corporate partner Charles Fuller led the team. He worked alongside HFC’s in-house lawyer Andrew Rodie. Nicholson Graham & Jones acted for Halifax in connection with its £35m loan facility to Structadene, the principal company in the David Pearlman Group, the investment/dealing group. The facility was secured on a portfolio of 200 properties primarily in central London. Property partner Sheila Stewart led the team.
