Shoosmiths and Shakespeare Martineau appoint new chief executives

Shoosmiths has elected real estate head Simon Boss as its new chief executive, with incumbent Claire Rowe stepping down after nearly 10 years at the helm of the firm.

Boss will take up the leadership role on 1 January after being elected in a partner vote. Rowe had announced her intention to step down in September, but will remain on the firm’s board in an advisory capacity.
