A Philadelphia personal injury attorney who admitted to diverting clients away from law firms with misleading information about cases and law firm status, mishandling settlement funds from suits, forging checks and engaging in frivolous litigation has been given a 30-month suspension by the state Supreme Court.

The court issued the reprimand to Dennis G. Young Jr. on September 25, adopting the recommendation of its Disciplinary Board, which was contingent on discipline upon consent, for violations stemming from personal injury cases Young handled while separately employed at Philadelphia-based Larry Pitt & Associates, Bowman & Kavulich and Damon K. Roberts & Associates.
