The state Supreme Court ruled that a defendant on death row will not get a new trial because the court said a police interview that was not turned over to the defense before trial did not exculpate the defendant and “just failed to inculpate him.”

Much of the court’s order was directly addressed to U.S. District Judge John E. Jones III of the Middle District of Pennsylvania, who has Seifullah Abdul-Salaam’s habeas corpus petition pending in front of him.
