Dechert has opened an office in Almaty, Kazakhstan, with the hire of Chadbourne & Parke’s attorneys there.
This marks the second time Dechert has looked to Chadbourne & Parke attorneys to open a new office. Dechert hired a team of partners from the firm in 2009 to start a Moscow office. That move turned a bit contentious when, days after five partners had left, Chadbourne & Parke made good on its promise that the deal was not finalized and wooed back two of those partners. Now, two of the five are still at Dechert.
