After more than four decades as a lobbyist with Patton Boggs, Thomas Hale Boggs Jr. continues to shape key legislation and guide the firm’s growth in terms of its size and the scope of its practice.

Last year alone, Boggs lobbied on behalf of the American Association for Justice — the leading trial lawyers’ group and one of the firm’s biggest clients — to slow the expansion of medical malpractice tort reform efforts; represented Korean business in pressing for a new U.S./South Korea trade agreement; and helped negotiate his firm’s acquisition of the Breaux Lott Leadership Group, a lobbying firm run by former sens. John Breaux (D-La.) and Trent Lott (R-Miss.).
