A Jacksonville company is suing Baker McKenzie’s Australian arm, alleging malpractice in a $260 million case related to advice the firm provided on the purchase of turbine generators to be leased in Australia.

The firm’s former client, APR Energy LLC, alleges that Baker McKenzie failed to inform it in 2013 about a title defect—and its resulting consequences—before it bought companies that held the interests of four General Electric mobile gas turbine generator sets, according to the complaint.
