Australian firm Johnson Winter & Slattery has hired three new partners for its corporate practice in Sydney.

All three — James Rozsa, Jeremy Davis and Byron Koster — were previously partners at Corrs Chambers Westgarth.

Rozsa, a partner at Corrs Chambers since 2003, specializes in advising on cross-border mergers and acquisitions. In 2009, Rozsa advised U.K. phone carrier Vodafone Group Plc. on its $3 billion merger with Hutchison Telecommunications (Australia) Ltd.

Davis advises on M&A, joint ventures and other commercial deals for clients that have included beer manufacturer Fosters Group Ltd., Microsoft Corp. and BP Plc. Davis had been a Corrs Chambers partner since 1998.

Koster also acted on Vodafone’s merger with Hutchison. He joined Corrs Chambers as partner in 2008 from the former Blake Dawson, where he was also a partner.

With the three new partners on board, Johnson Winter will have 140 lawyers, including 60 partners. The firm has offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane and Adelaide.
