Dentons has hired Esteban Gomez as a corporate partner in Brisbane.

Gomez focuses on mergers and acquisitions and equity capital markets transactions in a variety of sectors, including education, energy and resources, construction, government, retail, telecommunications and information technology. He also advises on corporate advisory, corporate governance, privacy and data protection regulation.

Gomez joins the global legal giant after a year-and-a-half at Australian firm Holding Redlich, where he was a partner. Previously, he had stints as a partner at Piper Alderman and as an associate at Clayton Utz. He also did a stint in-house as associate general counsel of Australia and New Zealand recruitment firm Hudson from 2010 to 2011.

With the addition of Gomez, Dentons now has six partners in Brisbane. The office is mostly from the legacy midsize local firm DibbsBarker, which Dentons absorbed in early 2018, acquiring 17 partners across Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
