Arthur B. Culvahouse Jr., formerly chairman of O’Melveny & Myers and a longtime Washington insider, reported earning $1.7 million in compensation over the past two years for work advising Trump administration officials and some of the country’s biggest companies, according to a financial disclosure he filed as the nominee to be U.S. ambassador to Australia.

Culvahouse, chairman of O’Melveny from 2001 to 2012, has been of counsel since January. The reported income includes partnership distributions paid in 2017 and of counsel compensation paid this year. Culvahouse had been a partner at the firm from 1989 to 2017.
