By bringing lawsuits to challenge drug patents in China, India and Europe, Amin, an intellectual property lawyer, and the nonprofit I-MAK have already succeeded. In the past 12 years, the group said its work has increased access to 20 therapies for diseases in 49 countries, while saving government health programs over $1 billion
