Dentons Rodyk & Davidson has rehired corporate lawyer Eunice Yao as a partner in Singapore.

Yao began her career at the legacy Rodyk & Davidson in 2006 but has since held several positions outside the firm. Legacy Rodyk, Singapore’s oldest law firm, merged with Dentons in 2016.

Yao advises on capital markets, mergers and acquisitions and fintech matters. She joins from boutique Singapore firm Fortis Law Corp., where she was an associate director. She previously had stints at other local firms such as TSMP Law Corp., and between 2015 and 2016 she worked as an in-house lawyer at Singapore-based DBS Bank Ltd. focusing on technology matters.

In July, Dentons Rodyk lost a four-lawyer corporate team led by former senior partner Evelyn Ang. The group formed a new Singaporean firm—Atlas Asia Law Corp.—and will join the network of the global accounting firm Ernst & Young.

In August, Dentons Rodyk also hired corporate partner Yi Jing Teo from Hong Kong-based investment management firm Charles-Lim Capital Ltd., where she was general counsel.
