Drew & Napier, one of the largest Singapore firms, has hired back disputes lawyer Jared Chen as a director from rival WongPartnership.

Chen’s practice focuses on commercial and corporate litigation, arbitration and employment law. Last year, he defended semiconductor manufacturer LTX-Credence Singapore Pte. Ltd. against wrongful dismissal allegations brought by a former employee and director before the High Court.

Chen rejoins Drew & Napier, where he started practicing out of law school in 2009. Most of his career so far has been with WongPartnership, which he first joined in 2012 as part of a team from Drew & Napier led by litigation partner Harpreet Singh Nehal. In the same year, he moved to boutique firm Cavenagh Law, which Nehal launched as Clifford Chance’s formal law alliance firm. He went back to WongPartnership the next year and became a partner in 2017.
