One of the largest music publishing companies in the world announced on July 13 that it would be promoting the head of its European legal function to the position of global legal leader.
BMG announced that German media lawyer Ama Walton, general counsel of its European legal operations will become GC of global legal operations. As a part of her new job, Walton will oversee the company’s legal, business and digital affairs as well as matters involving copyright law, media policy and relationships with collecting societies, groups that collect royalties on behalf of artists.
