A raft of law firms are engaged in the $8.2 billion acquisition of Bermuda-based Resolution Life Group Holdings Limited by Japan's largest insurance company, Nippon Life.
Debevoise & Plimpton, Kirkland & Ellis and Herbert Smith Freehills are acting for Resolution Life in the deal, while Nippon Life has turned to Japanese Big Four firm Nishimura & Asahi, Mayer Brown, Ashurst and Bermuda-based ASW Law for counsel, according to a statement.
