The U.K.'s competition watchdog has given the greenlight to Vodafone’s £15 billion merger with fellow telecoms giant Three, in another sign that the watchdog is relaxing its stance on multi-billion pound mergers.

The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) gave the go-ahead to the tie-up on the condition that “both companies sign binding commitments to invest billions to roll out a combined 5G network across the U.K.”.
