David Trott, the former global head of finance at DLA Piper and Freshfields has had his license to practice removed by the U.K. regulator.

Trott, who moved to DLA Piper in 2021 after spending over 34 years at Freshfields, left DLA Piper after only two years in May 2023. At the time, a spokesperson said this was due to personal reasons.

The Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal confirmed reports that Trott has been struck off. However, it did not disclose the reasons why and no notice was put on its website, which is the usual practice when such action is taken.
