International plaintiffs firm Pogust Goodhead has launched an office in Sydney as it pursues an environmental class action against Australian mining giant BHP and plans actions against other Australian companies.

The Sydney office launches with two partners, Amie Crichton as head of Australia and commercial disputes, and Joshua Carton, who is a class action specialist. Crichton joins Pogust Goodhead from her own firm Crichton & Co Legal, which has been established since 2018. Prior to founding her own practice in Sydney, Crichton was a lawyer at Norton Rose Fulbright for eight years. Carton is also joining the plaintiff firm from Crichton & Co., where he was a partner.
