Senior disputes lawyers across the globe expect the number of disputes in 2024 to stay the same or increase, with environmental, social and governance disputes cited as the top litigation risk to their organizations this year, according to a new survey by Baker McKenzie.

At a time of continued economic stagnation and geopolitical conflict, respondents to the survey said they expected the greatest increase in disputes to be in the energy, mining and infrastructure sector, according to the firm’s Global Disputes Forecast for 2024.
