The U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit on Monday revived Mexico’s $10 billion lawsuit accusing U.S. gun makers of helping to facilitate gun trafficking across the U.S. border to criminal organizations.

A trial judge had dismissed the lawsuit, which alleges that Smith & Wesson Brands Inc.; Sturm, Ruger & Co.; and others deliberately design and market military-style weapons because those are sought after by drug cartels in Mexico and make certain distribution choices to profit off the illegal market.
