Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan has helped secure a victory for the Republic of Tunisia in an ICSID arbitration matter, successfully defeating claims amounting to billions of dollars, with the claimant being awarded a nominal 0.003% of the amounts it claimed, and none of its legal fees.
In late December, an arbitration tribunal issued an award dismissing ABCI Investments’ claims against the Republic of Tunisia for over $12 billion and instead ordered compensation in the nominal amount equivalent to about $300,000.
