The bankruptcy estate of a former Major, Lindsey & Africa recruiter, who was fired in 2009 for allegedly stealing trade secrets, detailed allegations of sexual assault committed by a former rainmaking partner and efforts by current and former employees to obfuscate the conduct in a suit filed Tuesday in New York state court.

The 41-page complaint, which aims to raise funds for fired MLA recruiter Sharon Mahn’s Chapter 7 bankruptcy estate, describes Mahn’s sexual assault in 2006 by a rainmaking MLA partner. When Mahn subsequently informed her supervisor, she was told to “not make a big deal” out of the incident or else risk impeding her career, according to the complaint.
