On its website, Slaughter and May presents a table of Europe’s top legal advisers by M&A deal value, showing itself and its ’best friends’ collective of elite European firms outranking the likes of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Clifford Chance, Latham & Watkins and others to claim the number one spot.
That’s $288 billion worth of deals in 2022, according to the table which is based on Mergermarket data. Second placed Freshfields trails Slaughters and its best friends by more than $100 billion, the table shows.
