Canada’s overall national office vacancy rate is at its highest level in nearly 30 years, but law firms are maintaining their footprints at a higher rate than banks and professional services firms, according to a senior executive at commercial real estate company CBRE.
“I would suggest to you that these law firms are taking a measured approach,” said CBRE Vice President Colin Currie. “They’re trimming their space, but they’re reinvesting into their space and they’re committing long term for the most part.”
