Herbert Smith Freehills’ Tokyo-based partner Graeme Preston, who is currently the firm’s head of corporate in Asia, has been named as its new Asia managing partner, succeeding disputes lawyer May Tai, who was appointed in 2020.
Tai will continue to practice at the firm as a consultant focusing on her personal arbitral practice and other projects from September this year, when Preston is scheduled to assume his new role, the firm said in a statement.
