Dan Neidle, the tax expert and former Clifford Chance partner, has written to the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) urging it to investigate whether Herbert Smith Freehills was involved in producing “misleading” ‘without prejudice’ letters connected to the Post Office scandal.

Neidle, founder of non-profit Tax Policy Associates, on Tuesday published the letter, which he says he sent to the SRA asking it to “investigate whether HSF were in fact involved and, if so, to consider taking enforcement action against HSF”.
