Clifford Chance and Latham & Watkins are both advising on the launch of a new summer football event to be held across the U.S. this summer. Backed by private equity firm Sixth Street, the series will feature six of the world’s largest football clubs, and will be held between July 22 and August 2 across several stadiums in the U.S.
Spain’s Real Madrid and FC Barcelona, Italy’s Juventus and AC Milan, and England’s Arsenal and Manchester United will face each other over eight games, for the “first time” in a U.S. series, according to the tour’s organisers. Fans can expect to enjoy pair-ups like Manchester Utd versus Real Madrid at Houston’s NRG stadium and Arsenal versus AC Milan at Los Angeles’s Dignity Health Sport Park.
