Ontario’s legal professionals rejected an entire slate of candidates advocating “anti-woke” politics at the governing body of the legal industry regulator in Canada’s largest province, bringing an end to one of the most bitter board battles ever at the Law Society of Ontario—one that came down to a fight over its purpose. 

A coalition that stressed “diversity over division” and argued that the profession’s ability to regulate itself was at stake, won every position in the elections that wrapped up Monday.
