The Solicitors Regulation Authority has issued a warning after a Macfarlanes banking partner was impersonated as part of an email scam.
Partner Kirstie Hutchinson’s name was used to request money for a purportedly unpaid invoice. The SRA’s scam alerts page highlighted that the email misused Hutchinson’s name by using the address ‘[email protected]’.
