Paul Lewis has been appointed as Herbert Smith Freehills joint managing partner for its global disputes practice, as well as U.K. and U.S. regional head of the practice. He is set to take up the role from May 1. 

Lewis joined the firm as a trainee in 1992, becoming partner in 2001. He is currently a disputes partner and global head of the insurance disputes practice, working with clients across all aspects of insurance and professional negligence disputes, according to a statement from the firm.
