Ireland Hits Meta with €265M Data Fine in Latest Tech Giant Rebuke

Ireland’s data regulator has fined Meta, the parent company of Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, €265 million for improper handling of personal data.

The fine, among the highest levied against the tech giant, is the latest in a series of judgments in a key European jurisdiction for data regulation.
