In the wake of a cheating scandal over leaked bar exam content, the legal regulator in Canada’s largest province said it has voided the exam results of 126 candidates as well as voiding all their previous exam attempts and any experiential training they may have completed.

Those candidates will also not be allowed to re-apply for licensing for a period of a year, and if and when they do apply to be licensed to practice law again, they must disclose they were penalized, said the Law Society of Ontario in a press release on November 3. The LSO licenses and regulates lawyers and paralegals in the province of Ontario.
