This month, people have been observing some of the world’s biggest spiritual holidays: Easter, Passover and Ramadan—rites that represent renewal and liberation. At my home this past weekend, Ukraine came up multiple times as my family and friends gathered for our annual Passover seder, a holiday when we celebrate liberation from oppression and slavery but also recognize and consider all those who are not yet free. 

Russia’s invasion of Ukraine is clearly oppressing the Ukrainian people. It’s also causing major disruption in the world, including in the legal industry, as we’ve been reporting ever since the invasion began in February. Last week we saw signs that the chaos continues.
