Slaughter and May has upped it associate pay across all post-qualification levels as part of a wider review into pay.
On Tuesday, the firm announced that its NQ pay will increase to £115,000, from £107,500, in May.
This follows the move by rival Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, which in April set the new Magic Circle pay rate for London NQs at £125,000.
