The firm has kicked off the Magic Circle promotion season with its latest cohort, made up of six London lawyers and two in its Hong Kong base. The group has hit that key career milestone in a fraught world, as the legal industry reckons with how it operates and with whom.
Slaughters is one of the few remaining firms for which making partner usually means staying at the firm for life. Its 110 partners are watched with a mixture of awe and bafflement as they stay, unceasingly loyal, to the firm year after year.
