The U.K. Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal (SDT) has fined Mishcon de Reya £25,000, with costs of £32,500, for misconduct relating to alleged client account failures.

The firm was referred to the SDT by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) in June 2021 for ”causing or allowing payments to be made into and from” its client account which amounted to “the provision of a banking facility”, therefore breaching solicitors’ accounting rules.
