Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan has won a major mandate to represent U.K. Facebook users in a collective action against the social media platform’s parent, Meta.
The action, which represents 44 million Facebook users, seeks minimum damages of £2.3 billion, plus interest, according to a statement by Quinn which is acting for competition law academic Dr Liza Lovdahl Gormsen—the proposed representative of the class of claimants.
