A federal judge in New York ruled Wednesday that Virginia Giuffre could proceed with a civil lawsuit accusing Prince Andrew of sexual abuse, finding that the British royal was not protected by a 2009 settlement agreement between Giuffre and Jeffrey Epstein.

The ruling rejected, in its entirety, Prince Andrew’s motion to dismiss the case, which alleges that Epstein had arranged for the Duke of York to abuse Giuffre when she was a minor.
