Brazilian law firms dominated Latin America deal-making in the first nine months of 2021 as mergers and acquisitions activity boomed.
Mattos Filho, Veiga Filho, Marrey Jr e Quiroga Advogados took the top spot by combined deal value in rankings compiled by analytics firm Refinitiv, having worked on 81 deals worth $31 billion. For the same period in 2020, when it ranked No. 3, Mattos Filho advised on deals valued at $4.4 billion.
