U.K. firms Clifford Chance and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer have both increased their trainee salaries for their London cohorts, as the legal industry continues to raise rates for junior lawyers.

Clifford Chance increased salaries on Wednesday by £2,000 to £50,000 for first-year trainees, and by £1,000 to £55,000 for second-year trainees in London year-on-year.
