If Claudia Salomon could do it all over again, she would still choose a career in international arbitration. But she might also learn more languages.

“I can order food or speak to a taxi driver in a few languages,” Salomon, the new president of the ICC International Court of Arbitration, said with a laugh. “But the ability to connect with someone in their language is really wonderful, and it’s so hard to develop as you get further along.”
